I was very upset that I could not make it down to the funeral in person due to inclement weather. Uncle Bill was my Godfather, and favorite Uncle, and it was such a shock to hear the news of his passing. I still remember all the occasions I had with him where I learned something, which was usually each time I was around him. I even recall late-night conversations he and my father (Jim) had at the dinner table in the old house where I would just sit and listen. Usually I couldn't make total sense of what was being discussed, but when I reflect on memories of those discussions now, they still serve as a great resource as I discover those things for myself - it just took 20 years for some of it to finally make sense. Uncle Bill always had a 5 gallon gas can, when I asked, for me to use to drive whatever old truck was available to get around on the farm. He always had a shotgun to loan for an impromptu nutria or duck hunt. And he always had advice for whatever situation you may be facing - whether personal or pertaining to work needing to be done on the farm.I wasn't able to attend the service and reflect on his life with the family in person, but my family and I certainly feel the loss and we send our love to the rest of the family. With love...Jason, Kaycie, Jackson, and Kayleigh Churchman
