Funeral services for (Pinkus) Pinkney Francis Spears, 86, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Donald Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Pinkus, the son of Pinkney Jackson and Mary Frances Stewart Spears, was born on February 6, 1925, in Anacoco, Louisiana. He passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at the Woodlands Health Care Center in Leesville, LA. He married (Dinah) Eola Belle Sigler on July 14, 1943; in the 68 years of marriage they never had one argument.
He was a lifelong Mason of the Masonic Lodge of Hornbeck.
He was preceded in death by his wife, (Dinah) Eola Belle Spears and daughter, Sharon Warner.
He is survived by his son Donald & Connie Spears of Hornbeck; four grandchildren, Debet & Chuck LeBlanc, Donnie & Belinda Spears, Richard Warner, III & Michael Warner; six great grandchildren, Justin, Brooke, Chelsie, Matthew, Logan & Daniel.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Spears, Daniel Spears, Justin LeBlanc, Matthew LeBlanc, Chuck Leblanc, Jack Spears, Richard Warner, III and Michael Warner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brooks Bridges & Logan Warner.
