Dear Ruth, \r\n\r\nI feel so blessed to have known and worked with Earl. He was truly a \"giant\" of a man, and I never heard anyone say anything bad about him. \r\n\r\nMy regret is that I didn't know he was in Cornerstone up here. I would have wanted to visit him. \r\nMay the Lord be with you all in your loss.
I worked with Earl for many Years at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. It really hurt my heart to see that he had passed away. I always experienced joy in seeing he and Ruth at the Sheriff's retirement dinners. Earl was a great person. He taught me how to shoot my weapon when I was hired at CSO. I had a difficult time loading my clips, but Earl was always there to help. I ended up being an expert shooter under his supervision. He didn't have to help, but the caring person he was, it was just in his nature to do so. I will forever keep your family in my prayers. His smile was beyond compare.
