Mickey "Coach" Goins' Obituary
Funeral services for Mickey “Coach” Goins, 62, of Anacoco, LA will be held at 4:00 PM – Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in the Anacoco High School Gymnasium in Anacoco, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA.
Visitation will be held4:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. Monday October, 29, 2007 at the Labby Memorial Funeral home in Leesville.
Mr. Goins passed away Saturday – October, 27, 2007 at his residence in Anacoco.
Mickey was born July 31, 1945 in Summerfield, Oklahoma. He graduate from Anacoco High School in 1963. He received his Bachelors degree from McNeese State university. He went on to gain his Masters from Northwestern State University and his +30 from McNeese.
He served as Boys Basketball Coach at Leesville Junior High School and in 1976 became the Head Coach of the Anacoco High School Boys Basketball program. He established a winning team at AHS with numerous wins and led Anacoco to many playoff games during his career. He was a major part of the development and character of many young men. He loved bringing Kids together to play as a team.
He loved to fish, golf and garden. But most of all he love to be with his Family, friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.
The family requests that in Lieu of Flowers donations be made to Anacoco High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Virginia Tilley Goins; and one sister Jeanette Sellers
