Funeral services for Louvenia “Mama Caze” LaCaze, 101, of Hicks will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 2 pm at the Hicks United Pentecostal Church in Hick, LA. Burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery, under the direction of L Read Obituary

What a great Lady. Mama Caze was an inspiration to me as a teenager when I lived with her and Daddy Caze in the late 60's as a foster child. They gave me a foundation of moral values through their teachings and through their actions and helped me to grow into the person I am today. I shudder to think what my life would have been like today without the strong foundation of values they laid in my life. I will always be thankful to them for that. Mama Caze was a true example of someone who lived for God steadfastly her entire life without wavering. She truely is an example to us all. She has kept the faith and is now receiving her reward in Heaven.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of Mama Caze. She was such a inspiration to me and many, many others. I loved and respected Mama Caze dearly. I've never known a woman so deeply in love with Jesus as Mama Caze. She has left behind a legacy for so many others to continue, not only did Mama Caze plant seed in her garden for many, many years ,she also planted seeds in the lives of many, many people. To Sharon and Charlotte, We are sorry to hear of your loss. MaMa Caze was a pillar in the Jesus Name faith if anybody was. I have known her since 1949 when I first came to Louisiana. The Lacazes were wonderful people and they always wanted to hear about my big family that I grrew up in baack in Idaho. Their family of foster children always reminded me of my home far away. James and I will miss her. She reminded me so much of my own mother and we will never forget the memories we have of her and her foster girls, Sharon and Charlotte. Kenneth and Sandy, I am very sorry to hear that Mama Caze has passed away. the Lord blessed her with so many wonderful years on earth, we can only hope to measure up to half the lady that she was. You all will be in my prayers.
