Louis Stanley Ripley, 55, of DeRidder, La. passed from this life on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at his residence in DeRidder, La. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 10 AM at Christway Church in DeRidde Read Obituary
SSG Ripley was my mentor in the 509th USAAD in Vorden West Germany 1084-1986. I got there as a PFC, waiting for my clearance, so they put me in the mess-hall. I stayed 4 months and he taught me to cook. I loved it and still use his ideas during my meal preps. He was a great friend not only to me, but also his US Workers, Pvt Ramos and SPC Cox. His local staff of Ingrid, Chrisel and was exceptional too. I miss him.
