I'll always cherish the memory of Leroy and Maria stopping and talking to me on the road as I walked my dogs. They always had stories to share and always wanted to know how I was doing. Through the years we became friends and would check on each other. Leroy was a strong man and reminded me a lot of my father. Even in his elder years he never stopped. He even climbed up on the roof of his carport to remove a limb after Hurricane Laura. He nearly got stuck and scared Maria. I loved his willingness to do for himself. Never quitting led to him having a good and long life. We will miss seeing him in the neighborhood. My sincere condolences to his family. You're all in my prayers.
