LaVon Nichols Kay's Obituary
Funeral services for LaVon Nichols Kay, 84, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at the Canaan Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. Morris Dale Goins and Ernest Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2011, from 3 pm – until time of service Tuesday, October 18th, at the church.
Mrs. Kay passed to her Heavenly home at Rapides Regional Hospital Friday, October 14, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monford Kay; her mother & father, Frankie Ferguson Nichols & Wesley Nichols; brother Melton Nichols and her sister & brother-in-law Gwen Nichols Belton & George.
LaVon was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and served in many capacities.
She is survived by her son Derrel Kay & wife Nancy, Tommy Kay & wife Miriam; daughter Cathy Kay Craft and husband Bobby; grandsons, Randy Kay & wife Amber, Mike Kay & wife Tammy, Brad Kay & wife Cindy, Jeff Kay & wife Melissa, Clint Kay & wife Devon, Christopher Kay, Rob Craft, Crispin Craft & wife Danielle; granddaughters, Stacy Kay Walters & Anslea Craft Dowden & husband Raymond and great grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Jacob, Darby, Seth, Trevor, Connor, Bethany, Katelyn, Hallie, Barrett, Lauren, Moss, Layton, Vanessa, Isaac Rylee, Sophie, Payton, Andrew, Aven, & Zachary and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Canaan Cemetery Association.
