Funeral services for Jewel Phillips, 69, of DeRidder will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11 am in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder. The burial will follow in the Beauregard Cemetery, under the direction of the Read Obituary
She was a sweet lady. I know she will be missed.
I was so sorry to hear about Jewel...she was such a wonderful person...I got to know her at EBHS.....and then she was a good friend of my sister, Helen Schales Welker....It meant a lot to me that she visited with Helen at her home and then in the nursing home...My thoughts and prayers are with her family....

My most favorite memory is when I was 7 years old. You were going through an exercise phase and I was trying to keep up. In the back yard of your old house, I tried to do an amazing handstand for you. I ended up breaking my wrist and you cried more than I did. That was the kind of love you had for me and all of my cousins. I will miss you...every. single. day!
