Jesus "Jessie" Taitano's Obituary
Funeral services for Jesus “Jesse” Taitano, 82, of Creston, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday, December 9th, with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.
Jesus, the son of Jesus Rosario and Rosa Villa Gomez Martinez Taitano was born January 3, 1930, in Agana, Guam. He passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at his residence, in Creston, LA.
Jesse was a resident of Leesville from 1964 until 2006 when he and Lillian moved to Creston to be closer to their daughter. He retired from the US Army as a SFC, E-7; he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and also was a Purple Heart recipient. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lillian Taitano of Creston, LA; sons, Jesse Taitano & wife Cindy of Houston, TX & David Taitano & wife, Stacey of Houston, TX; daughters, Pamela Marie Dobbs & husband, Larry of Oklahoma City, OK & Lynn Quinn & husband, Glen of Creston, LA; brothers, Joe Taitano & wife, Norma of Virginia, Elouncio Taitano & wife Yong of Kentucky & David Taitano & wife Sue of Dallas, TX; sisters, Julie Tennessen, Maria Paulino & husband, Manny, Lourdes Lewis & husband Jim, Linda Taitano all of Guam, Rose Shirley & husband, Cloyd and Josephine McHale & husband, Richard of Maryland; eight grandchildren Jessica Krnavek, Tara T. Rourke, Cory Taitano, Becca Taitano, Shawn Taitano, Tristan Taitano, Wyatt Quinn and Brayden Taitano and three great grandchildren, Makayla Matthew, Logan Krnavek and Jack Rourke.
