Funeral services for Jesus “Jesse” Taitano, 82, of Creston, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemet Read Obituary
Although i am now an old man, almost 75, i still could write a book of things i remember about drill Sgt. taitano when i was just a teen aged basic trainee at Ft. Polk La. He was a consummate professional soldier with great pride and integrity, but always kept us laughing with the unexpected humorous things he did and said. We all had great respect for him.
Sgt. taitano was my drill instructor at ft. polk la 1965. he was a great guy. great sense of humor and tough as nails.
