Iva Lee and Issac and Rita Lee met my parents when I was just a baby at Suzie's Steak House. From what I was told, they came over and picked me up and said I was a pretty baby and they wanted to keep me when my parents would let them. They told them where they lived and that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship (and more like family). I have great memories of walking just like Iva Lee across the grass, feeding the chickens, many a New Years Eve, the RV park, watching Days of Our Lives, driving in the truck through Anacoco and going to the 'dump'. Never once did she forget to stop at the store to buy me a Reese's peanut butter cup! When my parents dropped me off, Aunt Iva Lee gladly accepted the baby food my mom brought her when they babysat me and then fed me right off the same plate she ate! I was eating cornbread and chicken way before my mom ever knew! I spent many a night with Rita and Iva Lee and I attribute much of who I am today because of these two special women! I am comforted by the fact that she is now walking with her Lord and feels no more pain...not that she ever complained about pain! I can't remember what she looked like without a smile! I will dearly miss my Aunt Iva Lee!
