In Loving Memory of Glenda (White) Pilcher
January 14, 1959 – March 19, 2026
I never expected to become so familiar with the pain of losing siblings, yet here I stand again, saying goodbye.
Glenda (White) Pilcher, my beloved middle sister, passed from this life on March 19, 2026, at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 5 days. She was an extraordinary sister, a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—roles she embraced with her whole heart.
For 47 years, Glenda shared a deep and enduring marriage with her husband, Jimmy Pilcher. Their life together was built on love, loyalty, and true partnership. Jimmy was not only a devoted husband to Glenda, but also a good and steady father to Gwen and Justin. For that, I am deeply grateful. They stood by each other through every season of life, and their bond was clear to all who knew them.
Among their greatest joys was traveling together on their motorcycle, making memories on the open road until time and age asked them to slow down. Glenda loved life. She found joy in cooking, in traveling, and most of all, in her family.
She had a natural way of staying connected—always checking in, always calling, always caring. No matter the distance, she made sure her presence was felt. Jimmy and Glenda made it a point to visit me regularly over the years, something I will always cherish.
During her final hours, we were blessed by the support and presence of those who stepped forward with care and compassion. I want to personally thank Wesley for his support, and Angie as well, for being there when it mattered most. I also want to recognize and thank all of the family members and friends who reached out, helped, or kept Glenda in their thoughts and prayers in her final moments and after her passing. Your kindness truly meant a great deal.
Glenda was preceded in death by her son, Justin; our parents, Josephine and Alford White; our brother, Ronald; and our sister, Barbara. With her passing, the White family is now reduced to two—myself, Ronnie, the oldest, and Angela, the youngest. That reality carries a weight that is hard to put into words.
Glenda leaves behind her devoted husband, Jimmy; her daughter, Gwen; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a family who will deeply feel her absence.
Jimmy, your strength, devotion, and steadfast love for Glenda have been an example to us all.
Gwen, you were a good daughter, and your love and strength through this time have been seen and felt.
As we grieve this loss, we must also remember that Jimmy has lost his partner of 47 years, and Gwen has lost her mother. Both will need time and space to mourn, and we should all respect that as they walk through the difficult days ahead.
To me, she was more than a sister—she was a constant, a source of love, and a steady voice in my life. I will miss her calls, her concern, her laughter, and her presence more than I can fully express.
Her life was a blessing. Her memory will remain a treasure. She will be missed dearly and remembered always.
With love,
Ronnie
