To think....I had no idea that during his exam the morning he went to the hospital was going to be the last time I saw him. I am deeply saddened to hear about Ted's death. He was a great guy and a model employee at ConocoPhillips. I worked with him, for about 20 years, at the Lake Charles Refinery.\r\n\r\nHis engaging sense of humor and that sly smile stands out as his unique trademark. I've been in Houston for the last 10 years, so I was not aware that he was ill.\r\n\r\nHis work ethic, disposition, and kind personality is a part of the great legacy that he has left. I will keep your family in my prayers. There is a comfort in Christ, that exceeds any human's effort for consolation. It is my prayer that you seek His comfort and direction, as you remember Ted.

Mary, Veronica, Marcie,\r\n I am crying & praying for you! When I heard the news I had to stop myself from jumping in the car & heading to LA to hold you in my arms & cry with you. I know that this loss hurts you the most & I can not truly understand what you are going through, but I do know that anyone that ever met Ted Allen has experienced a GREAT loss. \r\n Mr. Ted was a Godly man. He was sincere in his love for God & for others. He had a servant's heart & was honored to help anyone in need. \r\n I remember that on the way to my wedding he stopped to help people involved in a wreck. He came in a little late & a little dirty - but it didn't matter at all. I was so thrilled to see him. It was just like him - ready to help others no matter what was going on his life.\r\n I remember him laughing and teasing,playing games with us in the pool in New Orleans, calling me \"Ser-ahh, Mitch-elly Stagusses.\" Teaching me how to ride a horse like V :)
