You were such a wonderful lady. You cut my son’s hair for like 10 years. This was so unexpected. You will be missed. Rest in peace Mrs Gail. ❤️❤️❤️
Today at Gail's Memorial I wish I had gotten up and spoken of my many years of knowing Gail and counting her as a friend as well as my hairdresser. I started using Gail over 30 years ago when she worked with Petra on Entrance Road. She fixed my hair for my wedding 32 years ago this July. Being a "Redbone" from the south, I had a hard time understanding Gail's accent! It took many years before I was certain I was agreeing to something I should be! Today, listening to her family talk about her practicing on their curly hair, I was doubly grateful she knew how to fix my curly hair. She loved her children and was always talking about their achievements. We also commiserated over problems we were experiencing as Mom's. She was so talented. I was so happy when she crocheted my granddaughter a beautiful pink baby sweater and cap! Kamryn is now 3 years old. I am going to wrap it in tissue paper and put it in her hope chest and I will be sure to tell her about Gail and the love that went into its making. The last time I went for an appointment I could tell she was feeling badly. She had lost so much weight and was hurting but she talked about Bianca's baby. She showed me several of the pictures she had on her phone of him and how she was making him a blanket. I don't know if she was ever able to finish it, but I hope so. I send love to Bobby Jr., Bianca, Austin, Marcus II, and all her family. Cheryl Tilley Perkins
Gail was raised in Thetford, Norfolk in the UK in a loving family of mum Doris and her 2 brothers Gary & Ian.
Gail achieved well in her school education and went on to study beauty & hairstyling at Kings Lynn college.
Gail settled in Leesville and raised 3 wonderful children, Bianca the oldest, Bobby and the youngest Austin.
Gail was a grandmother to Marcus, a baby boy, who was born late last year. The addition of Marcus to the family brought much joy too.
Gail will be immensely missed by her children, her brother's, other close family and friends.
The memory's of Gail will be held by all forever.
Love you always - Gary
I
Deepest and sincere sympathy to the entire Family.
It saddened me to hear of Gails passing. But i will remember her for exactly how she was described. A joyful, hardworking woman who was always ready to help.
Gail and i worked together for many years at Haircuts plus and Gail was a true friend and coworker. Our children were friends and we attended church together. The military took me away from Leesville but Gail and i tried to stay in touch. We did return to visit her twice but after that lost touch, i did keep up somewhat on FB but Gail posted less and less.
She was very proof her children and i am so glad she had time to spend with her grandchild.
A dear, dear friend who will be missed greatly!
Rest in peace sweet Gail!!
Hugs from Petra and the family
Gail was a great person and I enjoyed her company when getting my hair done
