Floy Hughes Underwood's Obituary
Funeral services for Floy Hughes Underwood, age 95 will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Labby Funeral Home in Leesville, LA. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Wallace Palmer. The burial will follow in the Old Anacoco, Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mrs. Underwood passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Vintage Retirement Community Home in Denton, Texas where she resided for the past seven years.
She was born February 12, 1914 and was raised in Leesville where she resided prior to moving to Denton, Texas.
She was a housewife and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Leesville, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Curley Underwood, three sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Charles and Sandra Underwood of Leesville and Hoye and Ann Underwood of Denton, Texas. She had five Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren, one sister, Jewell Weeks of Pineland, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Anacoco Cemetery Association.
