Essie Mae Banks Dixon's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Essie Mae Banks Dixon, 81, of Lanham, MD will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Greater Bethel AME Church in Leesville with Rev. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. May 2 until time of service in the church.
Mrs. Dixon "MaDear" as she was known by all, passed away on APril 23, 2008 at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, MD. Mrs. Dison was born on September 7, 1926 in Central Louisiana. She was fourth oldest child born to Joseph and Hester Banks. She was married to Joe Dixon, who preceded her in death. She is survived by One Daughter, Bernadine Haynes and her husband Marvin of Lanham, MD. Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will dearly miss MaDear.
