When I was a little girl and Daddy would leave to go offshore, I’d run to his and Momma’s room, pull up the blinds, and wait at the window for him to drive by. He’d always honk 2-3 times, a small signal meant just for me. And every single time, I’d cry, even then knowing how lucky I was to have him.
Daddy was steady, kind, and patient, the kind of man who made everyone feel safe just by being there. He didn’t need many words; his love showed in how he lived, how he cared, and how he showed up every single day.
It’s hard to believe he’s gone. My life will never be the same. I’m endlessly grateful for every memory, every lesson, and every ounce of love he gave me. Xoxo, Carisa
He truly was the best man I’ve ever known. 🤍
