I am so sorry for your loss. Dee was very special to me! She touched so many of us here at Fort Polk!
Dee is at peace, she isn't hurting anymore. God was waiting for her at the entrance of heaven. To the family y'all have my deepest sympathy and when you need to talk to Dee just look up in the sky and u will see her with that big smile she always had on her face.
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Enjoyed assisting Dee with her banking needs. Was always pleasant and smiling. Will be missed by many.
Dee is going to be deeply missed by the National Association of Independent Labor Local 10 Union at Ft. Polk. After becoming President of the Union Dee invited me to go to a meeting with her. I recall going for the first time with Dee and the meeting was with Ms. Loretta Nale. Dee did not like the direction the meeting was going and went off trying to convince Ms. Nale to relook at the evidence. I'm tapping her foot trying to get her to calm down to no avail. The whole time I'm thinking that this isn't going to be good. Ms. Nale quietly agrees to take another look at the evidence that Dee had pointed out. We leave the meeting and on the way out they are chatting as if the outburst never occurred. I realized that they had a deep respect for one another to the point that it's business and not personal. I left in total Shock! Dee really cared about the employees that she represented and the Soldiers and employees who worked with her at the gym. She cooked for them like she was cooking for her family. Dee was always helping everyone to include the American Legion, VA Place, and Eastern Stars to name a few. Though Dee had no kids she treated those young Soldiers that were detailed to Cantrell Fitness Center like her kids and Family. Dee was well respected by many and will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to the Family. God has called his Angel home!
