Armond Phillip James' Obituary
Funeral services for Armond Phillip James, 93, of Leesville will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. Keith Dowden officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the church.
Armond was born on March 7, 1933 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana to his parents Riley L. and Odie May James. He passed away on May 24, 2026 in Leesville, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley L. James and Odie May James; wife, Linda Wallace James: two step-grandchildren, Christopher Jett (Tanker) and Megan Barnett; brothers, Jesse James, Frank James, “Uncle DD” David D. James, Roy James, Vernon James (Survivor of The USS Indianapolis) and OC OT James.
Mr. James was the 7th son of a 7th son, he was the only one left and now they are all reunited.
He is survived by his children, Clinton James, Riley James, Lola (Tony) Brown; stepdaughters, Alicia Young and Regina (Larry) McCall; grandchildren, Jessica Leah Kennedy, Crystal Lynette James, Justin Phillip James, Matthew David James, Jarred Rudolph James, Talon Anthony Brown Tayla Ann Brown and step granddaughter Mechelle Juneau, two step grandsons Steven McDaniel and MacKenzie Krenek, numerous great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and lots of nieces and nephews.
Those honored to be pallbearers are; Anthony Brown, Steven McDaniel, Larry McCall, Talon Brown, Jarred James and Micah Kennedy.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Riley Lewis James and Clinton Neal James.
