Alfred W. Watson's Obituary
Graveside services for Alfred W. Watson, 97, of Leesville, LA will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Garden Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas with Rev. Brian Treadway. The service is under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Alfred was the son of John and Floy Williams Watson. He was born September 19, 1912 in Franklin City, TX and passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in the Woodland’s Nursing Center in Leesville.
Mr. Watson retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant after serving for thirty years. He was a veteran of World War II and he taught instrumental flying at West Point. He later retired from the Arlington School District as a Bus Driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Hairston Watson; parents; children, James A. Watson and Carolyn Joyce Watson; brothers, Leonard, Travis and Curtis Watson and his sisters Lois Gibbs and Gladine Simon.
He is survived by his son Arthur Ray & Kim Watson of Arlington, TX; Daughter-in-Law, Jo Watson of Oklahoma; sisters, Lucille Treadway and Earline Davis both of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren Chris, John, Matt and Murad Watson; Two great grandchildren; Special Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye and Truman Ellis of Leesville and Special Friend Wendy Miller of Arlington, TX.
