As a grandson of Alfred I would like to say thank you for all of the childhood memories, long summer breaks we spent together, and one last goodbye. I love you Grandpa.
We have all been honored and blessed to have known this fine man. As he passes from this life into the kingdom of God and into the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ we pay tribute to a life well lived. Our nation has lost yet another valiant and heroic soldier of the greatest generation that has ever lived. From one soldier to another I salute you and thank you for your service to our nation during its greatest time of need.
We appreciate all who have visited and signed the guest book. We thank everyone who has sent flowers to the funeral home to be displayed at the graveside service. We hope to see as many as can be there to the grave-side service in Hope, AR on Wednesday at 1:00 pm.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father last year so I can understand your pain. Death is never easy to accept which is why it's called an enemy in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26. But Jesus gave us a hope based on the Bible at John 11:25: \"I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.\" So, we will be able to see our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. Then we will never have to lose them again. Why can we say that? Because God has promised us this in the Bible at such scriptures as Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 21:3-5. Isn't this good news? Please read these scriptures in your own Bible. Sincerely, Ms. Simmons
