Zediekiah Davis, Sr.
Funeral services for Zediekiah Davis, Sr. , 95, of Cole Central Community, Louisiana, will be held at 3 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2009, in Lone Star Baptist Church at Cole Central Community, LA, with Rev. Bryon Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Cole Central Community under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the church and continue until time of the service, Friday, May 29, 2009.
Mr. Davis passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Dubuis Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. He was a lifelong resident of the Cole Central Community area and a retired operator at the Elizabeth paper mill in Elizabeth, LA. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by son, Zediekiah “Junior” Davis, Jr. of DeRidder, and Gary Davis of Cole Central Community; daughters, Carolyn Morvant of Dry Creek, LA, and Marilyn Clements of Cole Central Community; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
