Yvonne Fee Bennett's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Yvonne Fee Bennett, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in the Lillie Pentecostal Church in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the church.
Yvonne Fee Bennett was born on October 3, 1945. She was welcomed into a large family; the 7th of 8 children. She lived her entire 74 years, 1 month and 7 days on her family farm in Cottonwood Louisiana.
In 1965, Yvonne met Jerry and fell in love! 4 months later they married and 3 months into their honeymoon, he was sent to Vietnam. Upon his safe return home and they began building their family home.
Yvonne worked as a key punch computer specialist for federal data collection on Fort Polk. However, the growing demands of motherhood and the birth of her 3rd daughter brought about a career change. She spent the remaining 30 years of her career as a bookkeeper/secretary for Evans High School where she became ‘Aunt Yvonne’ to the entire community of Evans.
Yvonne was a devoted and loving mother to Candace, Pamela and Cassandra. 3 totally different spirits but she mothered each one in a unique and special way.
Yvonne’s spirit of adventure and her insatiable passion for travel took her to 4 continents, all 50 states, and even to the edge of the Artic Circle. Yvonne loved this world and wanted to see every square mile of it but she always planned for her ultimate trip to the next world. Yvonne was steadfast in her faith and loved Jesus. She was a lifelong member of Lillie Pentecostal Church and she played the church piano for over 50 years. She lived by her convictions and loved and forgave others just as Jesus commanded. On November 10, at 4:15 A.M., Yvonne departed for her greatest adventure, her trip to heaven.
Yvonne was preceeded in death by her parents, Ada Cryer Fee & Ike Fee; siblings: Missy Fee Midkiff (Neulan), David Fee, Lillian Fee Whatley (Murlin), Bertha Fee Midkiff (Hoye), Thurmon Fee, Lavon Fee.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Bennett, Daughters: Candace Bennett McRae (Mark), Pamela Bennett and Cassandra Bennett (Michelle). Grandchildren: Emilie Crivello, Carolina McRae Baniewicz (Ryan), Jared Crites, Dillon McRae & Alexandra Guthrie. Her brother, Avon Fee, and sister, Von Fee Savell. Her bonus son, TJ Crivello. 23 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews of which she cherished.
