Wilma Dee Stump's Obituary
Wilma Dee Stump entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the age of 103 years, 0 months and 21 days, at the Rosepine Retirement Center with her family by her side. Wilma was born on Sunday, December 8, 1918 in DeRidder, LA to Elbert Franklin and Minnie Amanda Malone Lewis.
Wilma loved birds, plants of all kinds, especially flowers, and loved to cook. She grew up in DeRidder, and it was in here that she met her love of her life, Robert Clyde Stump who was an Army officer. After they were married, she lived an Army officer’s wife life. They travelled to many different places and destinations. It was during this time that they had their children together. After Robert retirement from the Army, they made their way back to the DeRidder area where they spent their golden years together. She will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert Ronnald Stump and wife Stacey, and Linda Dee Kempfe; her grandchildren, Zachary Robert Stump, Jacqueline Alexandra Stump, Katherine Lynnly Maskas, Lauren Wallis Stump, and Ellie Lynn Kempfe; her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Robert Sump, Adeline Claire Stump, and Hunter George Kempfe; and a host of extended family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Minnie Lewis; husband of 63 years, Robert Clyde Stump; an un-named infant son; son-n-law, Timothy George Kempfe; brother, Kenneth Wayne Lewis.
Cremation services was under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
