Willie Emerson Parker's Obituary
Funeral services for Willie Emerson Parker, 96, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. E.J. Bradshaw and Rev. Tri Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 3 pm – until time of service on Friday at the church.
Willie, the son of Samuel Tomas and Martha Eliza Phillips Parker was born on October 8, 1914, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA. Mr. Parker was a lifelong resident of Leesville. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carolyn Sue Porter and daughter-in-law, Wanda Sue Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Parker of Leesville; children, Willie Dale Parker, Cheryl Diane Sheppard, James David Parker, Terry Lynn Parker, Dennis Lee Parker, Roy Neal Parker & Elizabeth Ann Creasey all of Leesville; 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
