William J. Stewart's Obituary
Funeral services for William J. Stewart, 86, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. Harrison Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm - 8 pm, Friday, September 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
William, the son of Will and Sally Grant Stewart was born on June 21, 1924, in Hannah, Louisiana. He passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his residence in Leesville, LA. Mr. Stewart was a lifetime resident of Vernon Parish.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters, and step-son Billy Rhodes.
He is survived by his sons, Jacques Stewart, William Jimmy Stewart, Jr., James Stewart, Cedric Stewart and Lonnie R. Stewart all of Leesville; daughters, Jean Burnett of Chicago, IL, Debbie Gammage (husband, Percy) of Leesville, Lois Gail Stewart of Anchorage, AK, Sheila Stewart of Belton, TX, Cecilia Stewart of Leesville & Alethea Stewart of Leesville;one sister, Sally Carter of Los Angeles, CA; twenty grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
