William "Billy" Mills' Obituary
It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Mills on February 6, 2025, at the age of 67. Billy was born on September 4, 1957 in Hopkinsville, Ky. Billy then moved around a good bit in a military family before settling down in Anacoco, La and spending 50 plus years here.
Come April of this year Billy would have been married to his loving wife Sandy for 46 years. Not only was Sandy the love of his life, she was his world. During these 46 years they raised three wonderful children, Skeeter, Clay, and Katrina. Billy's family was his everything.
Billy was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved spending time with his family. Billy also enjoyed spending time with his extended family, the community. Billy devoted 18 years to coaching summer league baseball and little dribbler’s basketball. In his later years Billy loved to chase his grandson Obi around, watching him play ball and just spending time with him. Billy was also very excited about the birth of his second grandson, Walker Zayne later this year.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Sandy, his children Skeeter, Clay, and Katrina, and his grandchildren Obi, Wyatt, Masyn, and Emily, and a whole host of other family and friends Billy was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Eltis, his mother, Ester Mae, and his brothers, Tony, Richard, Donnie, and John.
We invite his family and friends to celebrate his life at Cold Springs Baptist Church on Sunday, February 9, 2025 with a visitation starting at 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. Funeral services will start at 2:00 P.M. with Brad Prichard officiating. Burial will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
