William "Bill" Mango's Obituary
William “Bill” Mango, 55, of Leesville passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA.
Bill was a Contracting Officer Representative for the Directorate of Logistics, Maintenance Operations at Fort Polk. He served 28 years in Federal Civil Service. He was also instrumental in the restationing of the JRTC from Fort Chaffee to Fort Polk and in the preparation of the Whole Base Contract (A76). He also served as the Maintenance Division Superintent for numerous Years. Bill also served four year in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Joyce Mango of Leesville; mother Charlotte Mango of Leesville; Sons, Cannon (wife, Donna) Mango of Slagle and John (wife Janell) Mango of Toledo Bend; Brothers, Joseph (wife, Joyce) Mango of Toledo Bend, Michael (wife, Cheryl) Mango of Leesville, David (wife, Laura) Mango of Dallas, TX and Dominic Mango of Leesville; Sister, Patty (husband, Ralph) Rivera of Leesville, LA; four grandchildren, Dixie Carson, Brittany Carson, Haley Nash and Lauren Smith.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Patrick Mango and brother Johnny Mango
Funeral services will be 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 16th at the Antioch Baptist Church in Slagle. Friends may call from 5 PM until service time in the church Tuesday.
