William Bryan Kelley's Obituary
Funeral services for William Bryan Kelley, 65, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Hicks United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Greg Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hick Pentecostal Church Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church.
William Bryan Kelley was born on January 29, 1950, in Florida. He left this life on, Thursday, December 10, 2015, in Texas.
Bryan was preceded in death by his biological parents, William Roy and Peggy Mae (Guidroz) Kelley; brothers, William Douglas Kelley, Keylee Kelley; nephew, Shannon Blasingame and foster father G. L. LaCaze.
Those left to cherish his memory son, Shane Kelley; two daughters, Anna Swain (Ivan) of Singer, LA, Alexandria Rose of Houston; two brothers, William Timothy and Keith Kelley of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Charlotte Malone of Boyce, LA, Sharon Blasingame of Hicks, LA; foster mother, Louvenia LaCaze of Hicks, LA; two grandchildren, Madison and Ian of Singer; four nephews, Henry Kelley of Leggett, TX, Cory, Nichols, and Brandon Kelley of Seattle, WA and two nieces Melody Carter of Leesville, LA and Lennie Sherrad of Hicks, LA.
Bryan was well traveled from Louisiana to Alaska. Never met a stranger and loved to people. He was truly a jack-of-all trades. He loved to discuss politics. He was a certified welder, carpenter, electrician, plumber, small engine and auto mechanic, gardener, and wood carver. He would find an old home or a piece of wood and make a piece of art. When he found out he had cancer he began making his own casket. One of the greatest things he accomplished was realizing his need of God. January 21, 2015, he was baptized in Jesus name. Mama Caze and he did a lot of praying on the phone. During my last few visits he said, “Sis, you don’t worry I can’t explain what happened to me, but while Mama Caze and I was praying something touched me at the top of my head and went down to my feet. I can’t explain, but, God gave me something. Peace, peace, and I laid a lot of demons to rest. Don’t worry, Sis, I’ll meet you on the other side.” He became unable to speak and one of his last text to me was, “I love the Lord God, my Savior, Jesus Christ.
