William "Marcell" Gray's Obituary
William “Marcell” Gray, 78, entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Marcell was born to William Joseph and Martha E. (Green) Gray on December 29, 1941, in Dry Creek, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will begin Sunday, July 19, 2020, 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Graveside services will be Sunday, July 19, 2020, 2:00 PM, at Whitaker Cemetery, DeRidder, Louisiana, with Rev. Henry Lee Hebert officiating.
Marcell served in the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam. He attended Hopewell Baptist Church. Marcell drove a school bus for East Beauregard School for 20 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Brenda Young Gray of Dry Creek; two sons, Greggory Gray and wife Jaclyn of Dry Creek, Vicky Gray of Dry Creek; sister, Ella Jo Cook of Mittie, LA; grandchildren, Justin Gray and wife Kaitlyn of Dry Creek, Kimberlee Simmons and husband Justin of DeRidder, Jayson Gray and wife Samantha of Dry Creek, Joseph Gray of Lake Charles; great grandchildren, Emma Gray, Colton Gray, Jaxstin Simmons, and Jacee Simmons.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph Gray and Martha E. Green Gray; brothers, J. M. Gray and Colin Gray; sisters, Geraldine Gray and Bobbie Hill.
Serving as pallbearers are Justin Gray, Justin Simmons, Jayson Gray, Joseph Gray, Cody Milner and Greggory Gray.
