William Dudley “Bill” Morvan, 82, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at his residence.
Bill was born on Thursday, January 21, 1932, to Victor and Agnes Deers Morvan at Many, LA. He lived most of his life in DeRidder, LA. Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force and later worked for the U.S. Civil Service as a Plumber for 33 years until his retirement. He loved to fish, baseball and all sports. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder.
He is survived by his 3 sons, David B. Morvan, Perry J. Morvan and Gregory P. Morvan; 1 daughter, Donna B. Butler, all of DeRidder, LA; 1 brother, Ernest Morvan of Ft. Worth, TX; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 54 years, Walterine “Boo” Beard Morvan.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Jude Brunnert officiating, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
