A Memorial Service for Willard Earl “Bubba” Reid, Jr., 62, of Longville, LA, will be held at 2:00 P M,
Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA. Visitation
will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2016, from 12 P. M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
“Bubba” was born in Natchez, MS to Willard Earl Reid, Sr. and Betty Jean Mullins Reid. He lived most of his life in Vidalia, LA, and for the past twenty years had resided in Longville, LA. He was a retired carpenter and enjoyed painting, drawing and playing his guitar. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served a tour of duty in South Korea.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Ann Reid; two sons, Gregory Aaron Reid of Longville, and Robert Jefferson Reid (Trina) of DeQuincy, LA; daughter, Jennifer Eaves (Bobby) of Ragley; two sisters, Ann Cathy of Ponchatoula, LA, and Edith Fontenot of Longville; his mother, Betty Jean Skaggs of Longville; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Earl Reid, Sr., brother, Thomas Reid, grandson, Clay Reid and nephew, Casey Compala.
