Wanda Sue Dowden Delp's Obituary
Funeral services for Wanda Sue Dowden Delp, 57 of Anacoco will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 25th at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chpel in Leesville with Dr. Joseph Bathe officating. The burial will follow in the Prewitt's Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA. Friends may call from 5-9 pm Sunday, Feb 24th and 10 am until serice time Monday, February 25th, in the funeral home.
Wanda passed away Saturday, February 23rd, at her residence in Anacoco after a nine month courageous battle with colon cancer.
She was born in Hornbeck and graduated from Hornbeck High School in 1969. She owned and operated Sun Seekers Tanning Salon in Anacoco since 1992. Wanda was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She alway loved to travel to the mountians and the beaches.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years Barney Delp of Anacoco; her children and grandchildren, Sharon (husband, J. R.) Austin and Joshua and Seth Ponthieux of Anacoco; Susan (husband, Brian) Teegardin and Tyler, Katie, Coral, Ariel and Zoey of Rosepine; Billy (wife, Katerine) Wade and McKenzie & Christian of Bastrop, TX; Mother, Helen Dowden of Anacoco; Brother, Donald (wife, Gloria Mae) Dowden of Hornbeck, Ronald (wife, JoAnn) Dowden of Leesville, Teddie(wife, Sheryl) Dowden of Leesville, and Dan (wife, Vick) Dowden of Anacoco; Sisters, Frances Parker of Anacoco, Connie Brooks of Gillis, and Marilyn (husband, Jim) Merchant of Anacoco.
