Walter Kirk Williams' Obituary
Funeral services for Walter “Kirk” Williams, 80, of New Llano will be held Wednesday May 25, 2016, at 1 pm at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 6 pm until 9 pm and on Wednesday, May 25th from 8 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Kirk, the son of David Franklin and Ruth Luella Dupree Williams was born on July 26, 1935, in Hot Coffee, MS. He passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, in Alexandria, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellnora “Ellie” Williams and brothers, Joe Williams, James Thomas Williams, Ray Williams, Pat Williams, Olen Williams and Warren Williams.
Mr. Williams Retired from the United States Army as a SFG E-7 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and Retired American Legion. He also retired from the DeQuincy State Prison (LCIS). He loved fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Ken Keller of New Llano and Bill Keller of New Llano; daughters, Dewannia Kelly & husband, Tom of Colorado Springs, CO, Diana Keller of New Llano and Sheila Keller of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Gail Williams of Simpson, LA, Dale Williams of Oak Grove and Ferrell Williams of Tenaha, TX; sisters, Edna Ferrell of Heber Springs, AR, Blanche Harness of Sedalia, MO and Eunice Rubel of Bridge City, TX; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
