Walter Rykard, 62, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, May 7, 2021 in DeRidder, LA. Walter, the son of Jimmy and Ann Rykard was born on July 31, 1958, in Valdosta, Georgia.
Visitation will begin Monday, May 10, 2021, from 9:00 AM until Funeral Service begins at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Steve Graves officiating. Interment will follow at Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Dan enjoyed cooking; he also sold cars and was an insurance salesman. He liked to hunt in his spare time.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Jimmy and Anne Rykard of DeRidder, LA; daughters Dedria Phillips (Matthew) of Yuma, AZ; sister Joy Marshall (Donnie) of DeRidder, LA; brother Marty Rykard (Robin) of Farmerville, LA; and two grandchildren AnnaBelle Phillips and Steven Phillips.
Preceded in death by his grandparents.
