Virginia Mae Smith Ford's Obituary
Funeral services for Virginia Smith Ford, 81, of Leesville will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. D.R. Davis and Rev. Rodney Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville.
Virginia was a native and lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. She worked for many years as an assistant for Dr. Dorothy Mack and Strain Clinic. She served many years as Night Hostess and Secretary of Beauregard Vernon and Labby Memorial Funeral Homes. She never met a stranger. She loved to sing and go to church. She spent many hours traveling and seeing the world. She was a member of Crystal Springs Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jessie & Eloise Ross Smith; Four Brothers: Edward Smith, Victor Smith, Johnnie Smith, and Joe Robert Smith; Two Sisters: Sally Carver, and Mollie Knight; One Nephew: Christopher Smith; One Niece: Kimberly Gillespie Stanfill
Virginia is survived by: Her Son: Andy Morace of Leesville, LA; One Brother: Bennie Smith of Anacoco, LA; Two Sisters: Linda Lindsey of George West, TX, and Mary Mills (Bob) of Leesville, LA; Three Grandchildren: Jessie Morace, Casey Morace, Chelsea Morace; Two Great Grandchildren: Devon Morace and Kylie Morace; And a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
