Funeral services for Virginia E. Judy Johnson, of New Llano, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville with Bishop James Procter officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Johnson Temple C.O.G.I.C. A visitation will also be held on Friday, October 18th, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville.
Virginia was born on July 12, 1937, to her parents Howard and Harriette Mitchell Freeman in Wilmington, NC. She passed away on October 8, 2024, in Leesville, LA.
She is survived by her husband: Pastor Maurice Johnson of New Llano; sons: Maurice Howard Johnson (Ann Marie) of Beaumont, TX, Jeffrey Marc Johnson (Nichelle) of Lisman, AL; daughters: Sondra Francis & husband David of Richmond, TX, Deann Johnson (Darryl) of Alexandria, LA; sisters: Madeline Thomas of Hanover, MD, Athalia Bruton of Wilmington, NC, Cheryl Cooper of Wilmington, NC, Rhonda Holmes of Wilmington, NC; 19 grandchildren: 31 great grandchildren:5 great-great grandchildren.
