Virginia Lee Hamilton's Obituary
Funeral services for Virginia Lee Maricle Hamilton, 80, of Leesville will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Wayne Chance officiating, burial will follow at Occupy #1 Cemetery in Pitkin, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 11:00 A.M until time of service in the funeral home.
Virginia Lee Maricle Hamilton was born March 19, 1941 in Pineville, Louisiana to Jerry and Katie Strother Maricle who preceded her in death. She passed away May 7, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Hamilton, two sons, Travis James and Brandon Lee, brother, Cully Maricle, sisters Beulah Russell, Helen Thompson, Agnes Thompson and Emma Ferrier.
She was a Gold star wife and mother. She worked at Bayne-Jones Army Hospital until her retirement.
She is survived by her children Kip Hamilton (Melodie) of Jacksonville, Florida and Kelly Hamilton Girouard (John) of Toledo Bend, her sister Bobbie Peters (Steve), her brother Jerry Maricle, Jr., her grandchildren, Louis James (LJ) Thompson, Kalan Warrick, Haley Minchew, Alexis Hamilton and Gabriella Hamilton, great grandchildren, Creed Thompson, Maverick Minchew and Cruz Minchew.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are LJ Thompson, Doug Warrick, Craig Ferrier, Alstin Ward, Taylor Ward and Raymond Phillips.
