Funeral services for Virgie Mae Sidney Webb, 84, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17th, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Thomas Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 17th, at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Virgie Mae Sidney Webb was born in Cotton Valley, Louisiana March 19, 1930 to the late John Wesley and Monnie B. Sidney. She departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Woodlands Nursing Home, Leesville, LA. She became a member of Wesley Grove CME Church of Cotton Valley, LA at an early age.
In 1962, she was married to Mr. Earven Lee Webb of Homer, LA at which point they moved to Benton, LA. To this union three children were born. One preceded her in death.
In 1965 the family moved to Leesville, LA where they resided until her death. Virgie extended her church membership to New Hope C.M.E. Church of DeRidder, LA where she became an active member until her health began to fail.
Virgie is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Monnie B. Sidney her husband, Earven Lee Webb and her sister, Oral Lee Tucker.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, John Wesley Sidney of Cotton Valley, LA ; two daughters: Miss Virginia Lee Webb of Leesville, LA and Mrs. Geraldine Alexander (Charles ) of Leesville, LA ; two granddaughters: Miss FaLon Alexander of Leesville, LA and Miss Veronica Alexander of Leesville, LA; a host of relatives and friends.
