Memorial services for Violet Joy Self, 93 of Orange, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15th, at the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah’s Witness, in Many, LA. A private family burial will be held at a later date, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Violet, the daughter of Joseph Stanton and Addie Ellis Stanton, Sr., was born on December 16, 1922, in Orange, TX. She passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, John El Self & wife, Iris of Whitehouse, TX, Rebecca Elaine Self Ellis & husband, John of Port Arthur, TX, James Carlton Self & wife, Karen of Anacoco, LA, Samuel Eliot Self of Groves, TX, Joseph David Self & wife, Becky of Orange, TX & Katherine Self of Silsbee, TX; ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
