Vernell Heard's Obituary
Funeral services for Vernell Heard, 87, of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 27 2023 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Vernell was born on November 26, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Alexandria.
She worked as a Lab Tech for BJAC and she became a Supervisor Lab Tech which gave her the opportunity to travel to different countries. She was a former secretary and choir member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She would perform yearly in the Handle Messiah Program. In her spare time she loved to bowl and she belonged to a bowling league.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and she always enjoyed being with her family.
Vernell is preceded in by her husband; Albert Heard, daughter; Regina Stegman, brothers and sister.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Reginald Heard and her six grandchildren
