Graveside services for Vera Randolph Fisher will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville with Bro. Bill Wilson officiating under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Vera Randolph Fisher, age 94, passed away on April 20th, at the Lancaster Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born on November 9, 1919, in Reeves, Louisiana, to Robert L. and Josette Randolph.
She was a 1936 graduate of Leesville High School, and was a long time resident of Leesville. She was married to George S. Fisher, Sr., until his passing in 1988. They had two sons, Charles Fisher of Dallas, TX, and George Fisher, Jr., of San Diego, CA. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Leesville, and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing in the hand bell choir. She was a sales lady at Nichols Dry Goods for several years. She was happiest when she was singing and reading books. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Helen Null, and a brother, Vernon Randolph. She had one grandson, Steven Fisher, of Watuaga, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
