Velma Lee Nash Jordan's Obituary
Funeral services for Velma Lee Nash Jordan, 93, of DeRidder, LA, will be at 2 P.M., Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Rosepine Pentecostal Church in Rosepine, LA, with Rev. Eddie Tilley and Rev. Gary Bankson officiating. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 9 P.M., Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, and from 12 noon until time of the service, Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Rosepine Pentecostal Church in Rosepine.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Allen Parish, Louisiana, but had lived most of her life in DeRidder. She was a member of Rosepine Pentecostal Church and had attended The Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse in DeRidder for several years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by three daughters, Ruby Lee Kuentz of DeRidder, Eula May Jordan of Livingston, TX, and Josephine Annette Dupont of Dayton, TX; one brother, Herman Neal Nash of DeRidder; two sisters, Pauline Farrow of Granitville, SC, and Gladys McFarland of Lake Charles, LA; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Hershel Daniel Jordan, son, Danny Jordan, and daughter, Pearl Ruth Jordan.
