Funeral services for Van Roland Snell Sr., 75, of Hornbeck, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the First Baptist Church of Anacoco with Bro. Wayne Chance & Bro. Chad King officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 5:00 P.M– 9:00 P.M in the church.
Van was born on June 11, 1945 in Many, Louisiana to his parents, Truis Markell & Mildred Parker Snell. He passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 in DeRidder, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Vonetta Snell, Onetta Mitchell, grandsons; Van Andrew Snell, Aaron Lee Arthur, Quisto Chance, great grandson Ty Braydon Townson.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joan Snell of Hornbeck, LA., children; Vicki Fralick (Ricky) of Forest Hill, LA., Van Roland Snell Jr. (Loria) of Hornbeck, LA., Rolanda Geoffroy (Chad) of Hornbeck, LA brother; Roy Lee Snell (Thelma) of Hornbeck, LA., sister;LaMerle Hughes (Dick) of Indiana, grandchildren; Kurt & Katie Arthur, Alainah & Jessie Semons, Caleb Snell, Ashley & Colby Johnson, Courtney Townson, Meranda Hickman, Cade Geoffroy, Colby Chance, great-grandchildren; Lucas, Jessah, Jemmah, Juliah, Jane, Charlee, Gracee, Creed.
