Truman Ellis' Obituary
Funeral services for Truman D. Ellis, 83, of Leesville will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 3 pm at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Angela Bulhof, Rev. Dave Stewart, Charlotte Sands officiating. Then there will be graveside services at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 26th at the Memory Garden cemetery in Hope, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Monday, April 24th, from 5 pm until 8 pm and then Tuesday, April 25th, from 12 noon until time of service in the funeral home.
Truman, the son of Bronson and Crystal Snell Ellis, was born on November 13, 1933 in Hornbeck, LA. He passed away on Saturday, April 22nd at the Woodlands Nursing Center in Leesville. Truman was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Janice Jones, Faye Calhoun and Gayle Ellis.
Truman was an US Army Veteran. He and Ms. Faye have been longtime members of the First United Methodist Church. He was a car salesman at Cain Motors in Leesville for many year then he retired from Civil Service at Fort Polk as a Purchasing Technician.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Faye Ellis of Leesville; God-son, Todd & Kathy Stone of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sisters, Linda (husband Jim) Francis and Melba Newman all of Leesville.
