Troy Lee Pemberton's Obituary
Graveside services for Troy Lee Pemberton will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 in the Drake Fork Cemetery in Pitkin, La under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Pemberton passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, in Bedford, Texas.
Troy was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Fort Worth to Jessie and Flossie Pemberton. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Troy was an avid Texas Rangers fan who loved to garden, listen to music and collect antique car models. His wife of 56 years, Eloise, was the greatest love of all. Troy was always willing to help anyone in need; he often would train newcomers at Blanks Color Imagining, a job he loved for 25 years. After retirement, Troy spent his time volunteering at Texas Health Resource Hospital and working in his garden.
Troy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Emeritus at The Oaks.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edwin Pemberton.
Survivors: His loving wife, Eloise; brother, Jerry Pemberton; sisters, Helen Pack and Ocie Morphew; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Louisiana family.
