Tressie Mae Williamson's Obituary
Funeral services for Tressie Mae Williamson, will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 3 pm in the Simpson Church of God with Rev. Bob Schlemmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Welcome Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 1:00 pm until time of service at the church.
Mrs. Williamson, age 96, of Simpson died Friday, March 16, 2018 in Byrd Hospital in Leesville.
Tressie was born in Colfax, Louisiana, but lived most of her life in Simpson. She loved taking care of her family and home.
She was preceded in death by her Father Harvey L. Mundy who passed away when Tressie was only 13 months old. Her Mother Alice Gentry Mundy; Husband of 65 years Douglas Williamson; Her Son: Gordon Williamson; Her Sister Bessie Lee Turner; Her Brother Earl Mundy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Randal Williamson of Simpson, LA; Two Grandsons: Kevin Williamson (Marissa), Brent Williamson (Brooke); Two Great Granddaughters, and Three Step Great Granddaughters; Her Daughter In Law: Mavis Williamson.
The Family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Byrd Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Leesville for the dedicated and compassionate care of Mrs. Tressie during her time of illness.
