Tommy Brown's Obituary
Thomas J. "Tommy" Brown, III, 52, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
Tommy graduated from DeRidder High School in 1975 and worked at Boise Cascade Paper Mill for 30 years. He was also the owner of a Quiznos in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Tommy was an avid golfer and the Senior Club Champion at Beauregard Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Shirley Brown; two sons, T. J. Brown of DeRidder, and Jared Bass and wife Cresa of Katy, Texas; one daughter, Whitney Bass of Lake Charles; mother, Patricia T. Brown of DeRidder; one brother, David Brown and wife Nancy of Benton, Louisiana; one sister, Sandy McKeller and husband Wayne of Orange, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Brown, Jr.
His funeral will be at 10 A.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at First Baptist Church in DeRidder with Rev. Lyndsey Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, and from 9 A.M. until time of the service Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at First Baptist Church in DeRidder.
The family requests that donations be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church in DeRidder.
