Tommie L. Josey's Obituary
Funeral services for Tommie L. Josey, 80, of Anacoco will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 2 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, with Rev. Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 01, 2017, from 5 pm until 10 pm and on Thursday, from 10 am until time of service at the church.
Tommie, the son of Earnest Jeffie and Myrtle Lee Tibbits Josey was born on September 21, 1936, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away at his residence in Anacoco on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Mr. Josey was a carpenter, cut & bailed hay, worked for Brown & Root and helped to build Toledo Bend. He was an “Ol Timer” fox hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Josey of Anacoco; children, Mike & wife Candy of Plainview, Robert & wife, Gina of Moss Bluff & Betty & husband, Brent McBride of Evans; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother, Mickey Josey of Houston; sister, Sharon Neely of Anacoco; a host of nieces, nephews and friends and a special friend, Tom Voyles.
